Actress Asha Sarath promises a twist-packed climax in Mohanlal’s Drishyam 3
Actress Asha Sarath, who returns as IG Geeta Prabhakar in Drishyam 3, says the third installment will surprise the audience as it will end the Georgekutty saga.
The much awaited malayalam franchise film, scene 3Starring Mohanlal, is set to release in theaters on April 2. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film is expected to conclude the series, with Asha Sarath expressing her excitement by calling it a great experience.
Actress Asha Sarath, who reprises her role as IG Geeta Prabhakar, talked about the film during a recent interaction club fm. When asked if the third installment would have a climax similar to the previous films, he hinted at another big twist. He said, “Of course. We should all be shocked by it, right? It’s the kind of movie that makes us sit on the edge of our seats.”
Asha said that she is happy after completing the film and believes that the audience will understand its impact only when it releases. He also said that the film is expected to generate the same excitement as its predecessors.
Drishyam The series follows Georgekutty, a middle-class man whose life changes drastically when his family gets entangled in a missing person’s case involving Varun Prabhakar, the son of a senior police officer. The films tell how Georgekutty leads the investigation and protects his family while staying ahead of the law.
The second installment, released in 2021 on Prime Video, continued the story and expanded its narrative. With the third film, the franchise hopes to explore another important chapter of Georgekutty’s life before concluding the story. Apart from Mohanlal, the film also stars Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sarath, Murali Gopi and Siddiqui, among others reprising their roles.
On the work front, Mohanlal is currently shooting L366Directed by Tharun Murthy, in which he plays the role of a police officer named TS Lovellejan. He will also be seen in the Mammootty-starrer PatriotScheduled for release on April 23, 2026.
