A vintage 1958 Ferrari 250 GT, currently owned by Hollywood actor Angelina Jolie, will be auctioned at Christie’s “Extraordinary Sale” in Paris on November 20. Christie’s has confirmed that the black coupe, which features coachwork by Pininfarina S.p.A., is the 11th of just 353 models built between 1955 and 1960.
Although the car retains its original engine, it was probably repainted black from its original white and blue in 1978, with the interior changed from black to red. With an odometer reading of 64,244 miles, details regarding the car’s mechanical condition and provenance are vague. Christie’s expects the car to be priced between €600,000 (Rs 5.5 crore) to €800,000 (Rs 7.3 crore).
Despite the publicity, key details about the auction’s centerpiece are still unknown, including its provenance, mechanical condition and percentage of original components.
The rare Ferrari will be displayed for public viewing at Christie’s Paris showroom on 14, 16 and 20 November.
