Actor and TVK chief Vijay visited the Tiruchendur Murugan temple in Tamil Nadu, days after the voting phase and before the election results are to be declared on May 4. After spending a few days at home, he quietly planned a spiritual journey and flew from Chennai to Madurai late at night in a private flight.
Fans gathered at Madurai airport even at midnight to watch Vijay’s upcoming film. Jan Naygan. He waved to them and stood on the sunroof of his car for a while to express his gratitude to the crowd. He was wearing a traditional silk vest and shirt instead of his usual white shirt and trousers, and police stepped in to control the crowd after his vehicle was delayed while leaving the airport.

From Madurai, Vijay traveled to Tiruchendur by road and reached the Murugan temple early in the morning. He participated in the special Vishwaroop Darshan and offered prayers. The temple authorities welcomed him and presented him a sacred ‘Vel’ as a mark of respect.
A crowd of people gathered inside the temple also to see him. During the visit many devotees commented on his calm and simple appearance. After completing the darshan, Vijay left the temple and planned to return to Chennai via Madurai.
On the work front, Vijay is preparing for the release of Jan NayganWhich is stuck in the censor board’s dilemma since January. Directed by H Vinoth, the film stars Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamita Baiju and Narayan in lead roles.
