Actor Richard Gere attended the 90th birthday celebrations of the 14th Dalai Lama in Dharamshala. In a hearty moment, the Hollywood star was seen receiving blessings from the Tibetan spiritual leader.

Actor Richard Gere shared a heartfelt moment with the 14th Dalai Lama during his 90th birthday celebrations on Sunday, July 6 at Dharamshala. In a video of this program, Gere, who is also a practice Buddhist, is seen receiving blessings from the Tibetan spiritual leader.
In a video shared by ANIThe Hollywood star was seen kissing the Dalai Lama’s hand while bowing to her in Shraddha. The spiritual leader then blessed him by placing his hand on his forehead because both of them hugged and smiled each other.
Earlier, Gere had praised Tibet’s extraordinary culture on his arrival, reported by, Hindustan TimesHe said, “The maturity of Tibetan culture that has developed in the last 1,500 years, is a huge responsibility and it is not for the unconscious of the heart, it is for lions and tigers. It is not for a refugee community, it is for those who are inspiration for the Dali Lama for this culture.”
Gere is also the president of the International Campaign for Tibet. He has often talked about human rights in Tibet on various global platforms and has a long relationship with the 14th Dalai Lama.
