Hollywood actor Emma Roberts and comedian Matt Rife are all set to act in the romantic comedy ‘Marriage Material’. The producers started selling the film worldwide at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.

The ‘marriage material’ will be directed by the Trish C, known for their works such as ‘players’ and ‘The Sleepover’, and the screenplay will be written by Ben Agron and Brandon Feldman, which is according to a report by the variety.

As reported DiversityThe plot of ‘Marriage Material’ follows the founder of a dating app, whose deadbeat husband’s alimony payment is dry to her, so she should use it to find a new wife before her company becomes public.

Richard Alan Reid, President of Buzzfeed Studios, told Diversity“Marriage material ‘is a fresh, fiercely fun romantic comedy with an undisputed heart.” He said, “Emma and Matt are a comedy pair that will enjoy the audience around the world. We are participating with Capstone Studios, and believe that its bold humor, with modern turns on unique attraction and love, ‘marriage material’ is ready to become a global crowd-player.”

The 34 -year -old actor was last seen in the 2024 comedy film ‘Space Cadet’ and is known for his performance in the ‘American Horror Story’ and ‘We the Milllers’.

Matt Rife, who will be in front of Roberts, is currently on his biggest comedy tour with his ‘Matt Rife: Ste Golden’ tour.
