Actor Dulquer Salmaan recently revealed in an interview that he has taken a break from work due to his health issues. Without elaborating on his illness, he said that there were some delays during the shooting of Lucky Baskar due to his health. Director Venky Atluri told that the actor was in pain during the shooting of the film and he was waiting for him to get better. Dulquer also said that he cannot take up more projects due to his illness.

talking to TV9Dulquer Salmaan talked about his hiatus and said, “I don’t like hiatus. This year, I was supposed to do a few films. One got canceled and one didn’t work out at the last minute. Then, I had health issues. Because of this we (Lucky Baskar team) said, ‘Sir, we will stop now. Go home and take some time.’

He further added, “A big set was built for Lucky Baskar. If I insisted on continuing shooting, they would say they did not want to see me in pain. They were very cooperative.”

Director Venky Atluri further elaborated and said, “We see them in pain. When we see them, we feel that we have increased our work to give them pain. Actors usually work for 9-10 hours. There were days when I extended it.” 12-15 hours. When he suffers we feel sad. I could see him in pain and he still wanted to work. He used to say that it is a huge set and I did not want to keep the crew waiting and say, ‘Okay sir. Health is important. We have become a family, it is hard to see a good person in pain. The entire set, including the light man, acted as if money was always second priority to anyone working on this project.”

Lucky Baskar is a drama thriller written and directed by Venky Atluri. Dulquer Salmaan plays the lead role, while Meenakshi Choudhary, Ayesha Khan, Hyper Addi and P Sai Kumar will be seen in important roles.
