Actor Nithya Menon recently talked about taking cow dung cake with bare hands for his role in Dhanush’s upcoming film – Idli Kadai. She opened her nails to receive the National Film Award with cow dung.

Menon, in an interview Cinema vikatanShared his experience. He said, “For ‘Fool Kadai’, I learned how to make cow dung cake. He asked me if I am ready to do it, and I said yes, of course. So, for the first time, for the first time in my life, I learned how to roll them with bare hands and go round.”

The actor further said, “In fact, I had to go for national awards a day earlier, I was doing this scene. It’s so amazing that when I went to accept my national award, my nails had cow dung. It was so beautiful, right? It’s right? It’s life. I did not like the diversity of experience from this film.”

‘Idli Kadai’ is written, directed and co-produced by Dhanush, which also plays the lead role in the film. Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Satyaraj, Parthiban, P. Community and Rajkaran also portrayed important roles in the film. GV Prakash Kumar has composed music.

This is the second time Menen has collaborated with Dhanush after ‘Thiruchramabalam’ (2022), who won him a National Film Award for Best Actor (Women).

With his national award win, in a special interview with Manenen, Today IndiaSaid, “I was not ready for this at all. In fact, I was ready to not be valid. I was preparing myself that ‘that’s fine, you are not recognizing that kind of recognition or recognition. The path you have chosen. It is a habit.’ I was getting used to it.

‘Idli Kadai’ is scheduled to release in theaters on 1 October 2025.
