Aayush Sharma is a popular celebrity in the entertainment industry, not because he married Salman Khan’s sister Arpita, but because of acting projects like Loveyaatri, Ruslaan and many more. Today, October 26, he turns 34. On his birthday, we revisited the time when he shared how he convinced Khan and his family to let him marry his current wife.
Speaking to Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa on his YouTube channel Bharti TV, Aayush Sharma went back in time and recalled how he met Salman Khan at his Mumbai residence at 1:30 in the night. The birthday boy said that he had gone to his current wife, then girlfriend Arpita Khan Sharma’s house for dinner on her insistence. But suddenly his brother Salman arrived. Suddenly confused after seeing each other, Khan and Ayush introduced themselves. The next morning, the Tiger 3 actor quizzed his mother Salma Khan about Aayush and Arpita and she revealed everything she knew about their relationship.
Soon after, the Antim actor was called to meet the head of the family Salim Khan, who immediately gave his blessings to the couple. After researching about his sister’s boyfriend, Bollywood’s Bhaijaan took Aayush on a walk and asked him some tough questions. When the Loveyatri actor expressed his desire to marry Arpita, the Dabangg actor said, ‘Are you too young to get married?’ During his conversation, Ayush clearly said that at that time, he had no fixed source of income, and whatever he had belonged to his political father. After everything was said and done, Khan was convinced about him and gave his consent saying that he was a good man. It is noteworthy that even though the Khan family had no objection to their marriage, the Sharma family had no knowledge about it.
After convincing Arpita’s family, Ayush called his parents from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh to Mumbai. At the dinner table, both Ayush and Arpita told about their intention to get married. Hearing about his plans, his parents, Anil and Sunita Sharma, were shocked. When he returned home, the young actor’s father told him, “Kam tu kuch karta nahi hai, paise tu kuch karta nahi hai, on top of that you are marrying her, that too a girl who has so much money.” How will his expenses be covered?” (You don’t do any work, you are not earning money and on top of that you are getting married, and that too to a girl who has so much money. How will you manage her expenses?)”
Ayush immediately said, “I will pick up the new one, you will pick up, right? (You will finance it, right?)” Then came her politician father’s response, “Shaadi tune kiya, pyaar tune kiya, bill main bharu?” (You will get married; you fell in love and I should pay the bills?)” After making some allegations against his son, Sharma also said ‘yes’. When the two families met and Aayush’s father asked if Arpita would go to her hometown Mandi if needed, Salman Khan promised, “Wherever Aayush decides to go, Arpita will follow him. Don’t worry about it.”
This sealed the deal and Arpita and Aayush got married in 2014, when he was just 24 years old. Today, the couple has two children: a son they named Ahil Sharma and a daughter named Ayat Sharma. Meanwhile, on the work front, the birthday boy is busy shooting for his next project Kwatha.
