Young music sensation Sai Abhyankar, who rose to fame with his two independent songs, Kachi Sera and Aasai Kooda, has been roped in to compose the music for actor Suriya’s upcoming film, which will be directed by actor RJ Balaji. Earlier, the makers had announced the film with AR Rahman as the music composer. However, due to unknown reasons Sai has replaced Rahman in the upcoming project.

Director-actor RJ Balaji welcomed Sai onboard and wrote, “Happy and excited to welcome the young sensation @SaiAbhyankar for #Suriya45 (sic).”

Sai thanked RJ Balaji and wrote, “Thank you Anna. God bless @RJ_Balasi (sic).” Quoting him, musician Santosh Narayanan congratulated him. His post read, “Congratulations Sai Kutty…the much needed comeback of new composers in Tamil film music is back.”

On November 27, Suriya’s upcoming film was launched with a puja ceremony in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu.

Sai Abhyankar, son of singers Tipu and Harini, became a popular musician after two of his independent songs became chartbusters. In fact, according to Spotify Wrapped, their first independent track, Katchi Sera, was declared the most streamed Tamil song of 2024.

Ahead of the Suriya-RJ Balaji film, it was reported that Sai Abhyankar would be composing the music for Raghav Lawrence’s Benz, which is a part of the Lokesh Kanagaraj cinematic universe.
