The appearance came soon after the first official photo of the couple’s wedding was released, which showed a glimpse of the private ceremony held at Aamir’s Bandra home. The family photo shared by the actor’s official spokesperson shows the newlywed couple signing their marriage register in the presence of their loved ones.
In the picture, Gauri’s son is seen standing between the couple, while Aamir’s son Azad is sitting next to them. Aamir’s mother Zeenat Hussain is also present on this occasion, who is seen witnessing the ceremony. For the occasion, Aamir wore an ivory kurta-pajama with a bronze brooch, while Gauri chose a royal beige ensemble with statement jewelery and styled her hair in a ponytail.
The wedding ceremony took place early in the day, with the celebrations continuing at the actor’s house.
Around 150 people were invited to the wedding, including Aamir’s children Junaid Khan and Ira Khan as well as Ira’s husband Nupur Shikhare. Businessman Mukesh Ambani, politician Raj Thackeray, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowarikar, former cricketer Irfan Pathan, comedian Vir Das and actor Elli Avram were also among those who attended the event.
Aamir and Gauri have known each other for almost 25 years, but reconnected through the actor’s cousin Nuzhat Khan in Bengaluru two years ago. Their friendship gradually turned into a relationship and after dating for more than two years, they got married on July 5. Aamir introduced Gauri to the public during his 60th birthday celebration in March last year.
Gauri, originally from Bengaluru, has a son from a previous marriage and previously worked in the haircare industry. She now lives in Mumbai and is associated with Aamir Khan Productions.
