The three Khans of Bollywood, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan have written a new chapter of stardom in Bollywood. He started his career in the early 90s, has given some of the biggest blockbuster hits in the last three decades, and is still going strong. Last year, Salman Khan did a cameo in Shahrukh’s film ‘Pathan’ and his post-credit scene went viral. Recently, Aamir reacted to the scene which many considered a nod to the ‘new age’ actors.
Aamir Khan recently sat down with his ex-wife Kiran Rao for a chat with The Hollywood Reporter India. During the conversation, he was asked about his reaction to the post-credits scene of ‘Pathan’, where King Khan’s character interacts with Salman and says, “Humne hi karna padge bhai, desh ke saal hai, bachton But can’t be missed.” (We have to do it, brother; it’s a matter of the country, and we can’t leave it to the children.) Netizens immediately linked this as a comment on ‘young age actors’.
Responding to the same, the Dangal actor mentioned that he has not seen the film but has seen a video clip of the scene on Instagram. He admitted that he found it amusing and mentioned their names while shaking his head.
Aamir said, “Just all the young actors must have been really upset, and you can’t even say more than Shah Rukh Khan and Salman being more upset.” (What could they say?) His ex-wife Kiran said, “He would have enjoyed it.”
In the subsequent discussion he admitted that many stars like Ajay Devgan and Amitabh Bachchan have also been enjoying success for three decades and more. He also explained that he did not understand and jokingly said that if anyone did understand this, he would like to know about it from them because he could not do it again.
Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan have never shared the screen space in a film. Shahrukh and Salman have worked together in films like Karan Arjun and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, while Salman and Aamir have worked together in Andaz Apna Apna.
However, during an Instagram Live, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor admitted that the trio have discussed the possibility of working together on a film in the future.
