Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao are busy Oscar campaigning for their film Lapata Ladies (Lost Ladies) in America. For the same, globally renowned Indian chef Vikas Khanna hosted him and the team for the film at his New York restaurant. Recently he shared a video in which Aamir Khan participated in the ‘Best Sheermaal’ competition.
Vikas Khanna shared a heart-touching video on his Instagram handle, in which the actor is seen making Sheermaal. Despite his limited knowledge, the Dangal actor completed his task brilliantly. For those unaware, Sheermaal is a soft and sweet flatbread of Mughlai cuisine. But, the competition created an exciting atmosphere in the Michelin star chef restaurants.

She captioned it, “Today we had the most amazing competition between Aamir Khan and Maisha Rizvi to make the “Best Sheermaal”. Both of them did an incredible job and ultimately, Maisha won. When the video was shared on Instagram, fans expressed their appreciation for the actor in the comments section. One user wrote, ‘Congratulations to Maisha and salute to Aamir’s sporting spirit.’ Another user wrote, “The cutest competition ever.”
Ahead of the competition, Khanna also shared some pictures from a special Oscar campaign event at his restaurant, which was attended by Aamir, Kiran Rao and other members of the team. The globally renowned chef praised the film and called Kiran a ‘true artist’. Furthermore, he also praised Khan’s kindness.
Lapata Ladies (Lost Ladies) is directed by Kiran Rao and backed by Aamir Khan Productions and Jio Studios. The film explores the lives and challenges of women in rural India and stars Nitanshi Goyal, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Srivastava and many other talented actors in pivotal roles.
The film has been nominated as India’s official entry to the Oscars, and its makers are trying their best to promote it internationally in the US.
