Another “Peak Bengaluru” moment has gone viral on social media recently. A resident of Bengaluru shared an interesting discovery on Reddit. While talking to his cook, he came to know that his cook also had his own cook and a maid. They also discussed salaries and the resident was surprised by how much his cook was willing to pay the people he hired. He summarized the conversation as “just Bangalore talk” and many in the comments agreed.

The Reddit post reads, “Today, I [27M] I asked my cook if he knew any maid in the area who could clean our flat. She said yes, but told that she would charge Rs 3000 for cleaning and washing utensils. I told her that our previous maid had charged Rs 2000 as it is a small 2BHK. He replied that he lives in a 1BHK, and his maid’s salary is Rs 2000, while his cook charges Rs 2500 per person. I was shocked to find that I was making a deal of just over Rs 1000, while he was willingly paying more for a 1BHK. Just Bangalore stuff.”

Earlier, an X post about a man standing with an open laptop outside a Momo stall had gone viral, the stall seems to be somewhere in Bengaluru, and it has generated reactions about the lives of “Bangalore techies”. .
