Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt recently shared his joy on playing the role of a grandfather and how his granddaughter Raha has brought happiness in his life. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s daughter Raha was born in November 2022 and her arrival has been nothing short of transformative for the filmmaker.

Bhatt shared, “Raha came into our lives like a drop of divinity. I had barely absorbed Alia Bhatt’s amazing journey… and then comes this baby. Just thinking about her makes me smile from every pore.”
He further described Raha’s sharp features and life force, saying, “Her life force is fierce. Her mind, sharp, almost evolutionary. She makes you realize time. You stand at a vantage point and look at the stream, your daughter, your child, and suddenly you see the continuity of life that has been flowing for millennia and will continue long after you are gone. And yet, I know I am no different from any other grandfather. Everyone, in that moment, Rediscovers life. Simply put…that’s enough for one day.”
