the wait is over. After weeks of Buzz and Leaked, Google finally unveiled its new A-series Pixel, Pixel 9A on Wednesday evening. While many people hoped that the device was expected to debut in Google’s upcoming I/O event, but the tech veteran surprised everyone by unveiling it a little earlier. The existing pixel lineups of the new generation Pixel 9A flagship series include Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro are relatively inexpensive sibling, which have been packed with a double camera setup with Tenser G4 Chipset, AI features, G4 Chipsets, AI features and more.

Pixel 9A launched in India: Top specification

Display: Pixel 9A has a 6.3 -inch actua display with 1080 x 2424 pixels. It is an OLED display. It supports 20: 9 aspect ratio up to 120Hz fresh rate. The display also promises 1800 NITs of HDR shine and peak of 2700 NITs, and should also offer a vibrant and easy visual screen in direct sunlight.

design: Taking the design elements from the Flagship Pixel 9 series, the pixel 9A measurement is 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9 mm and the weight is 185.9 grams. The phone is available in four colors: Obesidian, Porcelain, Iris and Penny. For durability, the performance is preserved by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It also has an IP68 rating for dust resistance.

Processor and RAM: Under the hood, Pixel 9A is powered by Google’s latest tensor G4 chipset, which is combined with Titan M2 Safety Cum-Processor for increased safety. It comes with 8GB RAM and provides two storage options: 128GB and 256GB. Only 256GB options are going to be available at the time of launch in India.

Camera: Pixel 9A comes with a dual rear camera system-48-megapixel wide camera with OIS and 8X super race zoom, which is a digital zoom, and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree scene. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel selfie camera with a 96.1-degree ultravide field of view.

Battery: The Pixel 9A is equipped with a 5100mAh battery, which promises battery life over 30 hours at a charge. It supports fast charging and Qi-ignited wireless charging for quick power-ups.

Software and Updates: The Pixel 9A moves out of the box on Android 15 and comes with a promise of seven years of OS, security and pixel drop updates.

Like the current pixel lineup, the main attraction of Pixel 9A is its mobile photography capabilities. The dual-camera setup is supported by a larger sensor than one in Pixel 8A and has been combined with AI-powered characteristics such as Best Tech, Magic Editor, Photo Unbelievable, Ed Amd Me and Astrophotography.

After following the footsteps of its major counterparts, Pixel 9A also comes with the power of Mithun AI. This includes characteristics such as the underlying AI accessories of Google, which help in works such as writing, planning and learning. With Gemini Live, users may have natural interactions and get real -time assistance.

3. Durable and environmentally friendly design

According to Google, Pixel 9A is its most durable A-series phone, with a scratch-resistant actua display and a metal frame. It is also environmentally friendly, made with 23 percent recycled material (by weight) and 100 percent plastic-free packaging.

4. Security

For safety, Pixel 9A comes with facilities such as emergency SOS, crisis alert, car crash detection, earthquake alert and theft protection.

5. Long term software support

Google has promised to offer a seven -year OS update, which means that users will get regular pixel drop with new features, ensuring that the pixel 9A remains relevant and functional for the coming years.

Pixel 9A launched in India: Price and Availability

Pixel 9A is available in a version – 256GB in India. Its price is Rs 49,999. The phone comes in four colors: Obesidian, Porcelain, Iris and Peoni.

This will be available for sale starting in April. As part of the launch offer, Google is also providing Rs 3,000 and 24-month No-Kost EMI option with select banking partners.
