During the 1970s and 80s, Bollywood was ruled by mythological actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Jitendra, Vinod Khanna and Rajesh Khanna. Amidst his dominance, a new actor stepped into the industry, challenged the established stars of that era. Although he no longer works actively as Amitabh Bachchan or Dharmendra, his stardom is as strong as it came back. Even today, his dedicated fans praise him and have reverence.

Many Bollywood stars have experienced a flop film at some point in their career. While some actors started with failures before getting up in superstardam, there is a star since the 1980s and 90s who acted in many consecutive films and became a top option for filmmakers.

Remandable, he holds a record of distributing 180 flop films in his 47 -year career. Despite his comprehensive filmography, he allegedly did not see about 200 of his own films. Mystery to Gemini Chakravarti Superstardom lies in its incredible filmography.

Despite appearing in 180 flop films, he also gave 50 successful hits, making him an actor with the fourth biggest hit films in Bollywood. During the 1990s, he set a record for consecutive flops, with 33 back-to-back failed films from 1993–98.

In an interview, Mithun Chakraborty said, “I have done more than 370 films, out of which I have not seen about 200 films till date. 150 of these films also completed Golden Jubilee and Diamond Jubilee, and many two, and many two on screen for two. Runned.

Despite being recorded for most flop films, Mithun Chakraborty continued to maintain his superstardam. He still has a huge fan among the audience and is considered a superstar by many.

A Bollywood legend is known for iconic films like Mithun Chakraborty, Disco Dancer, Guru, Agneepath and Pyaar Jhukta Nahin.

He won a national award for his stellar start at Mrigay (1976), in which a tribal person was depicted with depth and realism. In 2023, he was awarded the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his immense contribution to Indian cinema.
