Velichami likes her three brothers and puts her happiness on top of her. When his lover planned to send him to a hostel, he leaves the marriage. He works hard to lift them, and they love her in return.
Muthu, the greatest, is a cook that falls for a rich woman Gowri. She is far away at first, but softens when she recognizes her as a childhood friend. They get married, and she adjusts well to her home, earning respect to Velichami.
Shanmugam, second brother, Sumati to Weds. She looks rude but later accepts the fear of seeing her as inauspicious. Valichami assures her and helps her gain confidence.
Selvakumar, the youngest, loves Nandini, the daughter of the old enemy of Velichami. Her father agrees to marry only when Velaichami leaves the village. When Nandini is kidnapped, Muthu saves her. Finally, velichami returns, and the family reunires.

Vinathpola was directed and written by Vikramana and V. Was built by Ravichandran. The film starred Vijayakanth, Meena, Prabhu Dev and Livingston in the lead roles. Arthur A. Wilson handled Cinematography, while V. Jaishankar took care of editing. The music for the film was composed by Rajkumar like Rajkumar.
