And although it is not the first wide foldable to hit the market, it is the one that will have the widest reach in the global market. At least until Apple releases its first foldable, which is rumored to be widespread.

If we talk about Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra The large book-style foldable has a new name – in other words, it’s the successor to the Z Fold7, not the Z Fold8. What does this phone bring to deserve the name “Ultra”? Using silicon-carbon, Samsung increased the battery capacity to 5,000mAh, which is 600mAh more than the 2025 Fold. And wired charging is now up to 45W.

However, the only camera upgrade on this Ultra phone is a 50MP ultra-wide (up from 12MP). The old 3x 10MP telephoto module remains. The 200MP camera adds an “ultra” flair to this phone, although the Z Fold7 also had it. Anyway, it’s much more than the new Z Fold8 – it only has a 50MP main, 50MP ultra-wide and no telephoto camera.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 Got thinner (13.1 mm folded, 6.1 mm open vs. 13.7 mm folded, 6.5 mm open) and a touch lighter (180 grams vs. 188 grams). And it gets a new chipset, the Exynos 2600, except in the US, Canada and China where it gets the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for the Galaxy (its siblings only use Snapdragons). The Flip missed out on the battery upgrade, making it the only premium Galaxy phone besides the vanilla Galaxy S26 to feature slower 25W charging.
