While Toxic is full of action and drama, Kiara Advani said that the core of the film is based on modern love and relationships. The actor revealed that the Yash-starrer forced him to rethink man-woman dynamics and pushed him creatively with its bilingual shoots.

And actually, for me too, when Geetu Mohandas narrated the script to me, it took me some time to understand that okay, this is also normal. It may be grey, it may not be in your traditional space, but there is a certain liberation in love,” she said.

That moment of recognition stayed with him long after the narration ended. Advani recalled how, when Nadia was introduced to her, she was surprised by how different and free the character made her feel. She admitted that she wished she could think this way herself.

The actor also described the challenges of working toxicEspecially the filming process in both English and Kannada. He explained that each scene was first shot in English, followed by the Kannada version, until the takes were locked.

Since Kannada was not his native language, he had to memorize his dialogues the night before shooting, making the process particularly difficult.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for AdultsThe upcoming Kannada action film, which also stars Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth, has been postponed multiple times and has no release date as of now. The film was shot in Kannada and English, but will be released in multiple languages.

Released on December 21, 2025, the first look of Nadia presents Advani against a circus backdrop, balancing glamorous aesthetics with emotional depth that suggests grief and sadness beneath the surface spectacle.

The film is produced by Venkat K Narayan and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations respectively.

The film was originally scheduled to release on June 4, but was postponed as the makers are now focusing on global distribution and partnerships after its initial screening at CinemaCon in April 2026.
