A 13-year-old girl in America has been accused of stabbing her 7-year-old sister to death after an argument over flushing the toilet. according to IndependentThe incident occurred in Michigan on Saturday when the teen was taking care of her younger sister. Officers arrived at the scene around 1 a.m. and found the victim in the bathroom, who had been stabbed more than 10 times. He was taken to hospital where he was declared dead, the prosecutor’s office said.
according to Independent, Police said a note was left in the bathroom about flushing the toilet and a verbal argument broke out between the two. During the argument, the 13-year-old girl allegedly stabbed her younger sister in the stomach, head and neck with a butcher knife and a hunting knife, after which she called 911.
The 13-year-old now faces charges including first-degree premeditated murder, felony murder and first-degree child abuse, the prosecutor’s office said. Detective Zachary DiGiacomo said, “She was very calm and showed no emotion.”
The identities of both the victim and suspect have not been released due to their ages.
The parents told police that they had left their elder daughter in the care of her younger sister for only two hours when the attack occurred. He insisted that the siblings had only ever had a “normal sibling argument” before.
Separately, one of the family’s neighbors spoke of shock at what happened. “Just last night I was talking to her and now she’s gone… She used to ride her bike down the street every day, walk up and down the street, stop and talk to the neighbors. She “She was the sweetest little girl,” he said.

The outlet reported that the teen will not be tried as an adult, however, he will be placed in the juvenile system. Prosecutor Kim Worthy said, “Given his young age, the state will have seven years to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate him until his mandatory release at age 21.”
The prosecutor added, “Hopefully she will no longer be a danger to others. Although this is a difficult decision to make given these facts, it is the right thing to do in this case.”
He said, “There is no doubt that the facts of this case are horrific. It is not troubling that the man alleged to have stabbed his seven-year-old sister to death is a thirteen-year-old.”
