To start, Ghugni is a popular dish of West Bengal and Bihar, built with white peas (safed peas). It is simple, filled with spices and is being completed at the same time. You can do it as breakfast food, which is combined with roti, puri or bread. Or, you can also enjoy it as chaat, with extra lemon and saves on top.

While the quintament is cooked by mixing boiled peas with oil, ginger, garlic, onion and spices, this special recipe makes the entire process easier. In fact, what we loved the most is that this recipe includes zero drops of oil. You heard us right!

Zero-oil street-style ghugni recipe: How to make no-oil condensed:

The recipe is super simple! And you can make it in only 15 minutes. You just need to soak white peas before night.

Next, boil the peas wet with turmeric powder and baking powder water splashes. For unaffected, safed peas are hard in nature, so adding baking soda helps cook it in less time. Once done once, mash some matar for a semi-ride texture.

Now, soak some tamarind in a bowl, and finely chopped onion, green chillies, cucumber and coriander leaves. Some people also like to add chopped carrots, tomatoes and chopped coconut to taste and texture. All you have Pro Tip: It is fresh to enjoy the crunch of Vejies and Save.
