Hugh Jackman begins the search for missing Broadway performer Zelig Williams. On Thursday, the Logan actor shared an emotional note on his Instagram account, urging fans to join him in the search.
Williams and Jackman worked together during The Greatest Showman Tour in 2019. The Broadway star has been missing for the last 10 days.
In his address to his followers, the actor shared a photo of the missing artist, and along with it he wrote, “Please… If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of Zelig Williams, please reach out to your local authorities ” They added, “Zelig, we love you and are praying for your safe return. Please pass this message on!!!”
Williams is expected to star as one of the lead characters in the upcoming drama MJ: The Musical, while the project Williams has been a part of for over five months was Hamilton, which will debut on October 26.
The Broadway actor was last seen at his home in Columbia on Thursday morning, People magazine reports. It further added that Williams was in his hometown as a dance teacher.
Williams’ mother claimed that she saw her son leaving the house around 9 a.m. and then the actor had no contact with his mother for 24 hours and that’s when she became suspicious.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Williams was last seen near Congaree National Park in South Carolina. Later, his car was found there along the 500-mile Palmetto Trail, which crosses the entire state.
Other media reports also claimed that the Broadway dancer’s family initially feared that Williams might have been part of a car accident, as his phone signaled an SOS and an accident, which his friend found.
However, when Williams’ car was found, police shared that there was no evidence of an accident. Zelig Williams had turned 28 just a few weeks earlier and had gone missing days before he was to conduct a workshop.
