Looks like your chats with chat are private? think again. A new report has shown that thousands of chat conversations, including some intensive personal details, have been quietly indexed by Google, making them know anyone who knows where to see.

According to a fast company report, the criminal is a “share” facility of the chatup. This device lets you generate a link for a conversation, so that other people can see your stunning signal and AI-borne results. But most people do not realize that these public links do not remain private. The search engines can crawl them, and some are now visible to see the world in Google results.

“Site: chatgpt.com/share” has already seated more than 4,500 of these chats in Google’s index. Many include details that you probably don’t want to read a stranger, stories of trauma, relationship drama, health concerns, workplace grip and even confidential business plans.

When you click on “Share” in Chatgpt, it creates a public link that anyone can open. Your name is not on the link, but the content is the appropriate game. And if your conversation includes a name, email address, company details or location, information can be identified to see anyone.

Even if you remove a shared link, it may still appear on Google for some time, thanks to the cache pages and it takes time to refresh their index for search engines.

As fast company states, “Some have individual, sensitive, or even confidential information” that people may believe that it was private. This may be one of the reasons that the CEO of OpenAII Sam Altman, who built this AI Chatbot, warned everyone about sharing complex personal details with chat.

Risks may be different. Since, users are using chatgpt as a magazine and asking all types of questions, only for artificial assurance, this leak can cause severe data exposure. For example, users who talk openly about mental health, relationships, or trauma can find those conversations to be discovered. Companies experimenting with Chatgpt for product ideas or marketing copy can unknowingly spread mysteries. Also, if a chat includes your name or company, it may also be that you think you have taken it down.

Do not panic – but get alert. First, avoid sharing sensitive information in any chatgpt conversation that can be made public. Think about it the way you email one: Once it is online, you lose its control.

Second, think twice before using the “share” button. If you really have to share something with Chatgpt, copy the text and paste or use the screenshot instead.
