Yash’s Toxic faces criticism from Christian group over religious depiction in teaser
Yash’s Toxic is facing fresh backlash as a Christian group is demanding cuts over alleged religious imagery, weeks before its release on March 19 and a box office clash with Dhurandhar 2.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults A new controversy has erupted ahead of its theatrical release, with a Christian group objecting to the alleged depiction of religious imagery in the film. Complaints have been submitted to the government and film authorities, urging intervention before the film reaches audiences.
The National Christian Federation has written a letter to the concerned authorities alleging that some scenes in the film disrespect religious beliefs. The group has particularly objected to the depiction of St. Michael, a central archangel in Christianity. In its complaint, the federation claimed that the saint has been portrayed in an objectionable manner in the particular scenes and further alleged that explicit scenes were filmed in front of images associated with him, which it says has hurt the sentiments of the Christian community.
Federation president Pradeep Kumar has urged the authorities to ensure that the scenes in question are removed. The organization has also demanded that promotional materials and online videos containing controversial scenes be removed. Additionally, the group demanded an apology from the filmmakers, warning that possible legal action would be taken if their concerns were not addressed. The federation is currently awaiting a response from both the manufacturers and the authorities.
This is not the first time the film has faced objections. In recent weeks, women’s organizations have approached the Karnataka State Women’s Commission over parts of the teaser, alleging that some scenes were sexually suggestive and could negatively impact social attitudes, especially among women and children. The groups demanded the scenes be removed and called for a regulatory investigation.
The filmmakers have yet to issue a detailed public statement addressing any of the concerns. Meanwhile Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adults It is set for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, where it is set to clash with Ranveer Singh Dhurandhar: Revengeis the second film of stalwart Franchise.
