Introduction
Today, we’re looking at the Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G – yes, the same phone that launched 7 months ago. Somehow this review managed to spend the last five months hiding in our drafts folder. We’ve finally found it, cleaned it up, and now it’s time to fix that mistake. Turns out reviews don’t have expiration dates. better late than never.
To tell the difference, we’re looking specifically at the 4G version of the Redmi Note 15 Pro, which should not be confused with the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G. Although both look somewhat similar and share some specifications, they belong to completely different market segments.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G is clearly a step down from its 5G sibling in almost every hardware way. As the name suggests, it’s a 4G-only device and is powered by a modest MediaTek Helio G200 Ultra chipset – which is probably the weakest link on the spec sheet.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G also comes with some notable degradation in durability compared to the 5G version. Not that the IP65 certification is bad or anything, but this phone isn’t as rugged as its siblings.
Furthermore, Xiaomi made sure to achieve or come close to the specifications for most other aspects of the 4G model. The display, although not a direct match, is still 12-bit AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, you will have to live with a slightly smaller diagonal, lower resolution and lack of HDR support.
The batteries on both phones are practically identical, and it’s great to see that the lower-end 4G model gets a Si/C pack as well as the same 45W fast charging. The camera setup also looks very similar on both, at least on paper. The important and unfortunate caveat here is that video capture is limited to 1080p due to chipset constraints.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G has one small but potentially quite important thing that the 5G model doesn’t have – a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G comes in a simple two-piece cardboard box. It is thick enough and provides plenty of protection for shipping. The color scheme of choice is red and white, which is quite attractive. There is only cardboard inside the box, which is quite eco-friendly.
The accessory package is quite lavish, especially by modern standards. You get a soft and fairly thick gray TPU case in the box. Of course, there is a USB Type-A to Type-C cable. Along with this, Xiaomi also offers a 45W fast charger. However, it should be noted that due to EU regulations, those markets do not get a charger in the box. Another important note – both the charger and cable are proprietary, and you must take care of both to charge at full speed.
