Xiaomi held a European launch event for the Redmi Note 15 series today, and it also expanded its smart wearables line with the Redmi Buds 8 Lite wireless earbuds and Mijia Smart Audio Glasses.
The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses look like regular glasses but include dual speakers and quad microphones. This means they can be used like a pair of wireless earbuds with some additional smart features.
They feature touch-sensitive areas on the temples, allowing you to adjust playback, volume, access your device’s voice assistant, or manage calls. Xiaomi has also added real-time recording for calls and meetings, which can be accessed through a press-and-hold gesture on the temple. You also get wind noise reduction and privacy mode, which aims to reduce sound leakage.

They come in three designs – Brownline (€179), pilot-style (€179) and titanium (€199), all versions have IP54 ingress protection. The titanium option is the lightest of the group, weighing in at just over 27 grams (not including lenses), while the temples on all three are 5mm thick. They connect via Bluetooth 5.4 and support dual-device connectivity.
The Mijia Smart Audio Glasses are equipped with dual 114 mAh batteries (one in each temple), which Xiaomi claims is capable of delivering up to 13 hours of continuous listening and up to 9 hours of calling on a single charge. When you need to recharge, you can do so via the proprietary magnetic charger, which attaches to the temples and terminates in a USB-C adapter.
The Redmi Buds 8 Lite are the latest budget wireless earbuds in the Redmi lineup. They offer 12.4mm titanium-diaphragm drivers, Bluetooth 5.4 with dual device pairing, and support for AAC and SBC audio codecs. Xiaomi’s earbuds app offers 5 preset sound profiles as well as a custom EQ mode for fine-tuning.
You also get Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which is rated at up to 42dB of noise cancellation with dedicated wind-noise and call noise reduction. Battery life from the buds is rated at up to 8 hours of continuous playback, which increases to 36 hours via the charging case.
