Introduction and Specifications
The Xiaomi T series returns just eight months after its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15T. As one would expect, the changes and upgrades are not radical, but as such, the Xiaomi 17T will remain a relevant upper-mid-range duo throughout 2026. Especially the 17T Pro, which will be riding on the success of the Xiaomi 15T Pro.
As is often the case, the new generation comes with an updated chipset. This time, it is the Dimensity 9500 that sits behind the wheel – MediaTek’s flagship solution for 2026. A step up from last year’s model and significantly more powerful than the Dimensity 8500 that powers the vanilla Xiaomi 17T.
Additionally, the new 17T Pro gets a much larger 7,000 mAh battery and a slight bump in charging power from 90W to 100W. 50W wireless charging support remains, and the 17T Pro adds a faster 22.5W reverse wired charging to its specs sheet.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is basically a refreshed Xiaomi 15T Pro, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The 17T Pro carries over from last year’s excellent 6.83-inch OLED display, rugged design with IP68 ingress protection, and versatile and powerful camera hardware that includes a large 50MP main sensor and 5x periscope telephoto shooter.

It’s hard not to notice the strong resemblance between the Poco X8 Pro Max and the Poco F8 Ultra. These phones share a lot of features and hardware with the 17T Pro, making them a solid in-house option, so don’t miss the next few pages where we do a more comprehensive comparison.
Unboxing the Xiaomi 17T Pro
The Xiaomi 17T Pro comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable by default in all regions, but in some places like Europe, the compatible 100W Xiaomi charger is not included in the retail box.

However, you do get a soft, matte silicone protective case.
