After debuting in global markets last month, the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra have now been launched in India. Both the smartphones come with similar specifications as their global counterparts.
The sole 16GB/512GB variant of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is priced at Rs 1,39,999 ($1,525). As part of the Early Bird offer running from March 13 to March 17, customers will receive the Xiaomi Professional Photography Kit at no extra cost.
The phone will go on sale in India starting March 18 and will be available on Amazon and Xiaomi’s official online store. It will be offered in black and white color options.
The Ultra variant has the same specifications as the global model. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and features a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The device is powered by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
On the camera front, the phone features a Leica-branded rear setup that includes a 50MP 1-inch primary sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and continuous optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide unit. The phone also has a 50MP front-facing camera and has IP66 and IP65 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Meanwhile, the price of the 12GB/256GB variant of the compact Xiaomi 17 starts at ₹89,999 ($980), while the 12GB/512GB model is priced at ₹99,999 ($1,090). As part of the early bird offer running from March 13 to March 17, buyers can get the 512GB model at the same price as the 256GB variant.
The Xiaomi 17 is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, but has a smaller 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. It is powered by a 6,330mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
On the back, the phone sports a Leica-branded triple rear setup that houses a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultrawide unit. It also has a 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus. The device has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
