Xiaomi 15 Ultra Quick Review: Stunning Design, Big Camera
Xiaomi 15 is the latest and largest from Ultra Xiaomi. And it brings a huge camera system, with it complete with a large 1-inch image sensor. Here is a quick review of Xiaomi 15 Ultra which is going to be launched in India on March 11.
Listen to the story

Xiaomi 15 Ultra looks fantastic. While one of my colleagues have a different opinion, I believe its two-tone design, reminiscent of classic cameras from the past, stands out. However, a phone is much higher than its appearance, and to compete in today’s jackfruit market, Xiaomi 15 Ultra needs to be something extraordinary. Xiaomi believes that it is extraordinary, thanks to its top-line camera system, built around a large 1-inch image sensor. These sensors, in the past, have been mostly part of regular cameras. Therefore, seeing one on a phone definitely enhances our interest. Xiaomi 15 In the context of 15 Ultra, it also increases hope and expectations.
This is not a complete review of the phone, but I got a chance to spend about 30 minutes with the Xiaomi 15 series at a program in New Delhi. Xiaomi 15 Ultra, in particular, left a strong impression on me for several reasons. By the way, after its initial launch in China and later global release, we are still waiting for its official Indian launch, which has been confirmed for March 11.
Without further stir, here is my first impression of Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra: Initial Impression
The design of Xiaomi 15 Ultra is undoubtedly eye-catching, with its retro-inspired two-tone finish we see it today that it sets in addition to the sea of monotonous smartphone designs. It feels premium in hand, with a solid construction quality that looks excellent, though with a thickness of 9.4 mm, although it makes it relatively thick compared to its peers.
Stay relaxed, focus on expansion is obvious – by finishing the backward texture for seamless integration of the camera module, which does not decide as much from the device marked as the best camera phone money as you can buy.

Talking about the camera, it is clear that Xiaomi has doubled on its photography game – at least based on the claims of the company. The camera is undeniably impressive, characterized by a 50-megapixel 1-inch primary sensor (Sony Lyt900), which is paired with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens which offers 4.3x optical zoom, 50-megapixel telephoto lens and 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The latest model leads to the heritage of its predecessor, Xiaomi 14 Ultra, promises solid performance in a variety of lighting with minimal shutter lags and vibrant colors. Why do I say this? Well, I was not able to test the cameras during my brief time with the device. However, I took a look at some photo samples available on the demo units at the booth – and the shots looked impressive. Of course, a thorough testing will be required to fully assess its capabilities.
Beyond the camera, Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a stunning 6.73-inch AMOLED display with vibrant colors and deep contradictions. It is a major performance, edge-to-edge, and has symmetric bezels. 120Hz refresh rate – A common symptom between flagship – the company’s hyperose combined with 2 software, makes everything from scrolling to animation and the infection makes butter feel smooth. It is also incredibly bright, with a rated peak of 3,200 NITs.
Performance-wise, I hope the device will handle anything you throw, courtesy Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset and courtesy of customized software. Again, judge these matrix is very early, but what is worth it, from the overall accountability of the device – from opening the apps to navigating the software – looked great.
Of course, everything cannot be right, right? While Xiaomi has achieved more or less about the device by providing the best hardware on any Android smartphone, I wonder why the battery capacity is just 5,400mAh. Given that the Chinese version of the phone comes with a large battery of 6,000mAh, which corresponds to its rivals, it looks like a minor agreement. Given, it is a silicon-carbon battery, which in theory, should improve its predecessor-because one, it is comparatively larger, and two, silicon-carbon batteries offer high energy density, rapid charging and long-term lifetime than traditional lithium-ion batteries.
He said, “combined with fast charging capabilities-90 W Wires and 80W wireless-it seems that Xiaomi has ensured that 15 ultra can also keep 15 ultra with the most electrical hungry users. I think we have to wait and test it before passing the final decision.

Overall, Xiaomi 15 Ultra appears to be a well-round flagship that combines the style, top-level hardware and camera take fine-tune in collaboration with Leica, which claims to make it one of the top camera phones. While my time with the device was limited, it has left me eager to find more.
On March 11, the official Indian launch will reveal further details, including pricing, which will eventually determine how good it is in this competitive market. Speaking about, it is not expected to be cheaper. The phone is priced at Euro 1,499 (about Rs 1,37,000) for 16GB RAM + 512GB storage option – similar to the launch pricing of Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
Given the ups and downs in the euro, there is not a rigid spike in pricing between Xiaomi 14 ultra and 15 ultra, if we directly convert the euro 1,499 to INR. He said, if Xiaomi 14 Ultra was launched for Rs 99,999 – and also considered inflation – I think Xiaomi 15 Ultra could cost around Rs 1,10,000. At which point, it answers this question: to buy a high-end Xiaomi phone in a budget that is usually commanded by Apple or Samsung? For now, however, Xiaomi 15 Ultra has left a strong first impression on me.
