WWDC 2025: From iOS 26 to liquid glass, everything is here when you were sleeping when you were sleeping
Apple unveiled the major software updates on all platforms in WWDC 2025, liquid glass design, unified version number, new AI tools and iPhones upgrade on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch and Vision Pro.

If you have missed the WWDC 2025 Keenot overnight, you missed a lot. Apple used its annual developer conference to unveil a new set of sweeping redesign and software upgrade on all its platforms. Headline to the event was the launch of the “liquid glass” design system, the most important visual update of Apple since iOS 7. With new designs, Apple now brings a consistent, more translucent form for iOS, iPados, Macos, Watchos, TVOS and Visionos.
You must have missed: All operating systems are now synchronized with the same version number 26. So now we have iOS 26, iPados 26, Watches 26, and even Macos 26 (dubbed Macos Tahoe, clinging to their tradition of names). The public beta version of the new update will be available next month, and the possibility of stable release will be with the launch of the iPhone 17 series in September. The developer beta version of these updates is already available.
But this is not. Last night’s incident was filled with large and small updates. Let us take a quick look at everything announced in WWDC 2025.
Liquid glass design for apple ecosystem
Apple’s liquid glass interface, as the name suggests, has a glass-like transparency, specular highlights and micro-speed-based effects inspired by its vision pro headset. Additionally, notifications, wigates, control panels and even icons are now a glass finish, in which many elements react to light and motion.

iOS 26: big changes
IOS 26 brings the most visible changes to Apple’s most commonly used product: iPhone. Beyond the bright new scenes, the update introduces an integrated phone and facetime experience with new features such as call screening and hold Asist. The latter keeps your call active in the background and informs you when someone responds.
Messages are also becoming smarter and more adaptable in iOS 26. Now you can personalize group chats with shared backgrounds, and add choices, and people in the US can send or request Apple Cash. The new emoji creation tools, powered by Genmoji, allow you to connect the icon or request unique styles through chat.
At iOS 26, live translation now works in phone and messaging apps, even during real-time calls with non-iPhone users.
Additionally, visual intelligence now took a screenshot at the next level to help users the content in the application and help users to search for related items. Something similar to the circle to search on Android.
Apple maps on iOS 26 will now have memory, so that you can remember where you are and provide better passage suggestions.
Apple Wallet has also expanded to support digital IDs (for non-travel use) and new in-store pay Perks. It is again available to users only in the US.
Gaming also found a dedicated house with the new game app. It brings together your Apple Arcade title, game library and group challenges under a roof.

Macos Tahoe 26: iOS features on your Mac
Macos 26, named Taho, adopts liquid glass look while remaining right for its desktop roots. The new control center is optimized, folders can be painted or decorated with emoji, and live activities on Mac.
Spotlight is more powerful, now supporting intelligent functions and clipboard history. Shortcut app receives AI capabilities, and iPhone’s phone app comes in Mac with shared history and assistance.
Gaming features on MAC also boost with metal 4, which provides better visual and support for new titles such as Crimson Desert.

iPados 26: Mac Experience on iPad
The IPADOS 26 brings the difference between 26 tablets and desktops. A new windowing system allows for True multitasking, which features flicks-to-tile, grab-to-resurrection and exposure-style preview. The new consecutive menu bar makes it feel even more like Mac.
Files on iPad get a major improvement with a drag-end-drop folder, reservo-column and more. The preview will now also be available on the iPad, which will eventually allow indigenous PDF analysis and editing. Audio and video tools also get an upgrade on iPados 26 with new MIC control and local video capture options.

Watchos 26: Apple says that it is more intelligent
Apple Watch users get a new workout big feature that coaching and responding during the workouts. The smart stack on the Apple Watch will also be more adaptive in Watchos 26, surfaceing the right app at the right time. OS will also become smart. For example, it will be able to accommodate the notification versions on the basis of surrounding noise. Watches 26 also introduces new gestures control such as wrist flicks to dismiss the alert.

TVOS 26: Apple makes TV more fun
Apple TV now supports karaoke through iPhone-AS-MIC integration. The profile is added to the Apple TV+, leading to personal experiences for various domestic members. The interface of TVOS also adopts liquid glass design, bringing cinematic views at the forefront.
Visionos 26: more spatial
The vision Pro update continuously adds the modest, better personality and the eye added to privacy. PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers purpose is to promote the gaming capacity of the device. Now you can scroll using your eyes only, and spatial visuals bring photos to life in immersive views.
