Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menon are set to star in a new film directed by Pandiraj. According to a report by IndiaGlitz, the young actor might play the role of a paratha master in the film.
Furthermore, the report also states that the actor is training for the role. Nithya Menen herself informed about it in an interview, after which the shooting of the film began on August 20, 2024.
The actress also said that both Vijay (Sethupathi) and she couldn’t have asked for a better script, calling it a really unique script. She added that the genre is very interesting and she is up to the challenge of breaking boundaries with different roles.
Both Vijay and Nithya had previously collaborated on a project titled 19(1)(A), directed by Indhu VS in her debut film. The film focuses on the story of a quiet woman who leads a normal life, running a photocopy store. However, the film takes a turn when a writer leaves the manuscript of his unpublished novel with her.
Apart from Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen, the film also stars Indrajith Sukumaran, Indrans, Srikanth Murali, Bhagath Manuel, Deepak Parambol, Abhishek Ravindran and many others in important roles.
Now, the two actors will be seen sharing screen space once again in an upcoming film, and that too in a Pandiraj directorial. Talking about Vijay and Nithya’s work, Nithya recently made headlines after she won a National Award for her performance in Dhanush’s Thiruchitrambalam.
Apart from this, the actress is set to play the lead role in the romantic comedy Kadhalikka Neramillai opposite Jayam Ravi. Directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, the film marks Ravi’s 33rd cinematic outing.
Apart from these, the film also stars Yogi Babu, Vinay Rai, John Kokken and Lal in pivotal roles. Vijay Sethupathi was recently seen in Maharaja, which was much talked about.
Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the film is currently the most-watched Indian film on Netflix, surpassing Bollywood films like The Crew and Missing Ladies.
