Amy-nominated comedian and voice actor, Ruth Bazi died at the age of 88. Rowan and Martin’s laughter-alum died at his home in Texas, as his family confirmed through a Facebook post. Comedians became famous for appearing in every episode of the popular variety show, which lasted for five sessions.
In the laughter of Rowan and Martin, he played many characters, but was most recognized for the role of Gladis Ermpby. Baji was named Amy five times and won a Golden Globe Award for his performance in laughter.
In an 2018 interview, the comedian told the Associated Press that his character, Gladis, was a Dalit person. He said, “Gladis unseen, taken to dowtra, taken to Stragler,” he said. Baji believed that whenever his character spoke, he represented the marginalized people.
He said, “She spoke to a sex object less or otherwise to misbehave. And it is almost everyone who is some time or others.”
In 1993, she joined Til Street as a shopkeeper called Ruti. He also voiced other characters in the show, appeared in various mole street specials, and starred in the film The Adventures of Elmo in Grachaland. Buzzi’s voice acting credits also include nose mary on pound puppies and maternal uncle bear on Bearenten beer.
He played a recurring friend of The Navold Series The Girl, a recurring friend of Marlo Thomas, Marlo Thomas. Buzzi also appeared in the 2003 hit film Frequi Friday, starring Meen Girls Star Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Kurtis.
His filmography includes titles like Lucky Luke, Chu Chu and The Phili Flash and Apple Dumping Gang Rides. Although Baji did not appear in any project after 2021, she was in touch with her fans through her Twitter account.
