Who is Saubin Shahir?
Saubin Shahir is an actor, director and producer mainly known for working in Malayalam cinema. Born in Kochi, Fort Kochi in Kerala, he is the son of Babu Shahir, a former assistant director and production controller who worked in remarkable films like Manichithaju, Godfather in Harihar Nagar, and more.
Following his father’s footsteps, Sobin started as Assistant Director of the late director Siddiq at Mammootha-Staror Chronic Bachelor (2003) at Malayalam Cinema.
Later, Shahir worked with several prominent directors and even recorded a slight appearance in the first flicks of Fasil’s Fasil. The film was directed by Maareesan actor’s father, Fazil.
Rafi-Mekartin, P. Before working as an advertisement for directors like Sukumar, Santosh Shivan, Rajiv Ravi and Amal Neerad, she also appeared as a child artist in some films including Mohanlal’s Vietnam Colony.
Saubin Shahir’s rise in cinema career
Over the years, Saubin recorded several modest appearances before playing a supporting role in Fahd Fasil and Andrea Jeremia-Abhinit Aneit Aneit Aneit Aneit Aneit Aneit Anem Rasulam directed by Rajiv Ravi.
Continuing his streak in supporting roles, he gained recognition in films like Iobinte Pushtakam, Masala Republic, Chandrantan Ivia, and more. However, he was successful when he played the role of a PT teacher in Nivin Pauly’s prestigious film Premam, who was played by Alphons Punhen.
Premam’s success appeared in many films in many films in both the actor and supporting roles. With Maheshinte Pratikram of Fahd, Duler Salman Starr Charlie, and Kammatyapadam, Saubin left an impression for herself, which proves her versatility not only in the comic role but also as an opponent.
In 2017, Saubin Shahir started his direction with a feel-gud drama Parva. The film also placed him in a cameo appearance, which played the role of a villain.

Saubin shahir is fully prepared to appear with the character Dayal in Coryie. While he is expected to play the role of a counterpart, the actor took the internet from the storm with his dance performance in Monica.
A cameo appearance was shown by Pooja Hegde in the track composed by Anirudh Ravichender.

The upcoming Tamil-language film stars Rajinikanth in the lead role and is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraja. The action thriller has a story of a former daily wage worker Deva, with a frightening past, his friend Rajsekar revival when he gets into trouble.
Apart from Rajinikanth and Saubin, the film stars Nagarjuna Akini, Upendra Rao, Aamir Khan (Cameo), Shruti Haasan, Satyaraj and actors in lead roles.
Recently under the title of Cool Anileshed during the east-relief event, the superstar revealed that he initially had doubts about director casting saubin. Rajni said, “I asked Lokesh, who is Saubin? Which films have he acted in, Lokesh mentioned Manjmel boys, where Saubin played an important role.”
He said, “I still suspected and also questioned if he would suit this role because he was bald. However, after watching the visual feat. Saubin, I was blown away after seeing him,” he said.
Saubin’s personal life
Saubin Shahir married Jamia Zaheer, a marketing professional in Kochi on December 16, 2017. The couple has a son, who was born in May 2019.
