Lebanese diplomat and former UN representative Mohammed Safa has accused Elon Musk of promoting anti-Muslim hatred in Britain and claimed that such hostility in the country is being funded by Zionists. In a post on X, Safa wrote: “Anti-Muslim hatred in Britain is funded by Zionists and promoted by Elon Musk.”Musk has repeatedly commented on issues including UK grooming gang scandals and immigration policies. The billionaire has also publicly supported Tommy Robinson and criticized British authorities for their handling of grooming gang cases.Additionally, Green Party leader Zac Polanski blamed Elon Musk and politicians’ anti-Muslim rhetoric for the conditions that led to the attacks in Edinburgh, which injured five Muslim people.Polanski wrote on X: “Let’s be clear that the anti-Muslim hatred of politicians and their billionaire partner @elonmusk creates the conditions for such a vile attack.”He expressed solidarity with Muslims affected by the incident, writing, “Sending huge solidarity to the Muslim community in Edinburgh and beyond.”Safa was born on 8 March 1991 in Bourj Rahal, Lebanon. He is best known for his work with the Patriotic Vision Association (PVA), an organization that has participated in United Nations forums through consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).According to his LinkedIn profile, Safa served as the organization’s representative to the United Nations since 2016, representing the PVA at the UN offices in Geneva, New York and Vienna.His profile also states that he has served as the organization’s chief executive officer since 2015, overseeing its programs, operations, and international activities. Prior to this, he served as Chief Administrative Officer, managing day-to-day operations and organizational planning.Safa made headlines in March 2026 when he announced his resignation from his role at the United Nations. At the time, he claimed that he had become aware of a planned nuclear attack on Iran and accused senior UN figures of serving powerful lobbying interests rather than the organization’s mission. No evidence was publicly presented to support the claim.He frequently comments on Middle East politics, international affairs, and human rights issues on social media.
