Last year, Xiaomi launched the 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max in September, while Vivo and Oppo brought the X300, X300 Pro, Find X9 and Find X9 Pro in October.
According to a new rumor from China, Xiaomi will launch the 18 series this September, which is hardly surprising. However, the source claims that Vivo and Oppo are also aiming to unveil the Find X500 series and Find X10 series respectively in September.
Xiaomi 17 Pro Max
This will give them a chance to compete better with Xiaomi from the beginning. Xiaomi will likely still have a small specification window to use Qualcomm’s latest and greatest chips (Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 Pro), as it has for the past few years. This won’t have any impact on the X500 and Find
Of course, when any of these devices will be released internationally (and which ones at that time) is an entirely different question. Chinese smartphone makers have always prioritized their home market for these launches, so we assume it will be at least a few weeks, if not months, before we see the Xiaomi 18, vivo X300, or Oppo Find X10 outside China.
