Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan on Friday shared an unforgettable moment with his career at Waves Summit 2025, which included the legendary Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg. He narrated an incident about Spielberg to compete with a restaurant and identify her as a ‘3 Idiots’ girl.

During a panel discussion run by filmmaker Karan Johar, an excited Kareena recalled Chance-Meeting. He said that ‘3 Idiots’, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and Aamir Khan, R Madhavan and Sharman Joshi were also depicted in important roles.

He said, “I was really in a restaurant, traveling somewhere, and Spielberg (Steven Spielberg) was at the same place,” he said, “It was many moon first. It was around the time when ‘3 Idiots’ was released. She really came to me and asked, ‘Are you a very famous Indian film about three students?’ I said, ‘Yes, this is me!’ He said, ‘My God, I loved that film very much.’

Kareena shared that Spielberg had seen the film in English and was deeply impressed. “This was really a moment for us,” he continued.

Asked if he considered working in Hollywood, Kareena said, “I think it’s not just systematic.” He explained, “Saying that, movies are my passion – they walk in my veins. I was born in this family. Time is changing, and you never know. Chasing something has never been part of my personality, but if it means, perhaps a Hindi -English film will come together. Even Spielberg is watching our films!”
