The upcoming season of “Only Murders in the Building” is about to release, and the cast and producers of the show have shared details about what fans can expect in Season 4 and how it will be different from the previous seasons.
Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short attended the premiere of their show and were joined by showrunner John Hoffman. They expressed their excitement about shooting scenes for the new episode in Hollywood.
It was revealed in the trailer of the Hulu series that the iconic trio of Mabel Morra, Charles Hayden Savage and Oliver are returning to solve another intriguing murder mystery. Apart from this, fans will also get to see the characters going to Hollywood after being offered a movie based on the podcast.
The previous three seasons of Only Murders in the Building have been well received by the audience and even won an Emmy Award. The upcoming season will feature the original cast as well as new characters.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the premiere event, Gomez and her co-stars shared that the season, which is releasing in the coming week, has new elements for the audience. “Obviously, we have a great cast and we’re going to Hollywood,” the composer-singer revealed. She further added, “It was fun to shoot for a moment here.”
In addition to the actress’ statements, Steve Martin said it was a refreshing experience for him to return to L.A., where he grew up and became an actor, and Short has also lived in the city for several years.
Hoffman also shared his thoughts. The producer of the thriller comedy claimed that since the murder victim in this season has been a stunt double, it was the perfect opportunity to go Hollywood.
He said, “It all seemed like a good reason to come to Hollywood for a moment, but bring it back to New York because we’re definitely a New York show, and it’ll always be that way.”
Season 4 of Only Murders in the Building will revolve around Charles’ stunt double Saz Pataki, who is murdered at the beginning of the season. When the trio figure out who the killer is, they suspect that the killer is after Charles, but instead, Pataki is killed.
Meanwhile, new cast members joining the trio include Molly Shannon, Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis, Richard Kind and Kumail Nanjiani. Meryl Streep will also reprise her role as Loretta Dunkin.
The Only Murders in the Building Season 4 premieres August 27 on Hulu.
