Actor Pankaj Tripathi celebrated his 21st wedding anniversary on January 15. His wife Mridula shared a video from the festivities on Saturday, giving a glimpse of the intimate celebration.

Actor Pankaj Tripathi, 48, and his wife Mridula celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary with their loved ones on January 15. Mridula on Saturday shared a heart-touching video of the celebration, as well as a series of pictures from the party on social media.
The video starts with the Mirzapur actor putting a ring on Mridula’s finger. In a sweet gesture, he folds his hands and bows before her, causing her to blush. She then hugs the actor, and the two cut their anniversary cake together while the guests cheer and applaud.
For the celebrations, Pankaj wore a beige kurta-pajama, which he paired with a traditional white jacket. His wife Mridula was looking very beautiful in a yellow suit. His daughter Aashi Tripathi also participated in this celebration.

Sharing pictures from the party, Mridula wrote, “As we turn 21 (read heart emoji).”

Earlier, during an interview on Conversations with Atul YouTube channel, Mridula had revealed that she had married Pankaj despite apprehensions from both sides of the family. She recalled how she first met the actor at her brother’s wedding, where her brother was getting married to Pankaj’s sister.
Mridula said that while their affection for each other grew, she feared that their relationship would not be accepted as she came from a family of high social standing.
Mridula was in ninth grade, and Pankaj was in 11th when they first discovered their feelings for each other.
She shared that it took time for everyone to come together and accept their relationship, but differences still exist. He said, “There was commotion, chaos. Sister-in-law was not happy, mother was not happy. They were worried about how he would take care of me. But gradually, they started accepting us.”
Pankaj Tripathi studied at the National School of Drama, Delhi and rose to fame in the Hindi film industry after starring in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur. Recently she received appreciation for her performance in Stree 2.
