The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has released a short cockpit video on social media showing a fighter pilot flying towards Tehran, as the ongoing conflict between the US, Israel and Iran enters its second week. The 33-second clip, posted by the Israeli military on X, is titled: “POV: You are an IDF pilot OTW to Tehran.”The footage shows several fighter planes flying above clouds and mountainous terrain as they head towards their destination. The video was also shared by the Times of Israel, which posted a translated version of what the pilot is seen saying in the recording.According to the translation, the pilot says: “We, the pilots and navigators of the Israeli Air Force, are currently flying over the skies of Tehran to attack historical targets.” The message also addresses people in Israel: “We continue to fight around the clock as needed, and feel your support at all times. We wish you, Israeli citizens, a safe and peaceful Shabbat.”The pilot’s face appears blurred in the footage, making it impossible to identify him.The video emerged after residents across Iran reported hearing large explosions in Tehran and other areas on Saturday morning, amid Israeli and US military operations, according to Al Jazeera.Earlier this week, the Israeli military released another video in which it described air-to-air interactions over Tehran. In that 16-second clip, an Israeli F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jet was shown shooting down a Yakovlev Yak-130 aircraft piloted by an Iranian Air Force pilot. The IDF said the incident marked the first time a piloted aircraft was shot down in air-to-air during the conflict. The widespread conflict is continuously increasing. US President Donald Trump’s administration approved a $151 million arms sale to Israel after saying Washington would not negotiate with Iran unless it agreed to “unconditional surrender.”Meanwhile, Gulf countries have reported intercepting more Iranian missiles and drones. Saudi Arabia said it intercepted four drones targeting the Shaybah oil field, the second attempt to attack the facility within a matter of hours.Israeli warplanes continue to attack targets in Beirut and Tehran. At least 1,230 people have been killed in Iran, more than 200 in Lebanon and nearly a dozen in Israel since the fighting escalated, officials have said.
