Why is China developing humanoid robots?
This initiative occurs at a time when China is facing demographic challenges, including aging population and a shrinking workforce, which has already invested significant in automation and robotics. The CCP government has placed humanoid robots as one of the major components to run self -reliance and electrical economic growth in the country as it competes with the United States.
According to the International Federation of Robotics, Chinese customers established 276,288 robots or 51 percent of the world’s total in 2023. China is also planning a sports schedule in August, featuring a humanoid robot competing in tracks and fields, football and other skill-based challenges.
