Vivek Agnihotri calls for a new Bollywood: Actor can’t even speak Hindi
Vivek Agnihotri criticized Bollywood, claimed that new actors lack talent and box office figures are inflated. He urges young filmmakers to create a new industry or nominate Bollywood as ‘Instawood’.

The filmmaker argued that, instead of “passion for cinema”, “corporate greed and agenda-powered materials” are producing film today.

“Today, Bollywood has hardly any independent producer. There is no new producer. No fresh idea. No innovative distribution or marketing strategies. A few years ago, there were only two or three, and they were also monopol at the reasons other than filmmaking. The passion for cinema is replaced by corporate greed and agenda-operated materials,” he wrote.

Commenting on the new age actors, Agnihotri wrote, “To survive the film business, star-actor is necessary. But there are no new stars. If you want to cast someone from the age group of 2135, you will find almost non-heroines and heroines. The instructor, and WhatsApp.”
