Vishnu Manchu’s mythological film Kannappa will release in April 2025.

The much-awaited mythological drama, Kannappa, is all set for a grand release in theaters next year. It stars Vishnu Manchu, Akshay Kumar, Prabhas and Mohanlal in lead roles.

Telugu actor Vishnu Manchu has officially announced the release date of his ambitious mythological drama, Kannappa. The film, which was initially scheduled to release in December, will now release in theaters on April 25, 2025.

Kannappa is a fantasy-based mythological film inspired by the story of Kannappa, a devout devotee of Lord Shiva. The project has attracted a lot of attention thanks to its star cast and cameos. Akshay Kumar will play the role of Lord Shiva, while Prabhas will be seen as Nandi. Mohanlal and Kajal Aggarwal also have important roles, with Kajal playing the role of Goddess Parvati.

The announcement has created a stir, especially due to the film’s star cast and cameos, making Kannappa one of the most exciting multi-starrer projects in recent times.

Akshay Kumar also officially shared the release date of Vishnu Manu’s film. He has shared the poster of the film in his Instagram stories. The tag-line of the film reads, “The bravest warrior. The last devotee”, highlighting the film’s focus on Kannappa’s mythological devotion to Lord Shiva.

The making of the film was not without challenges. Recently, after Prabhas’s picture from the film was leaked online, the team announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for anyone who helps in catching those responsible for this act.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar, Kannappa is produced by Vishnu Manchu under the banner of AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. Based on Indian culture and mythology, this film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English.
