On Akshay Kumar’s birthday on September 9, actor Vishnu Manchu shared a glimpse of the Bollywood actor from his upcoming Telugu film Kannappa. Akshay Kumar will play the role of Lord Shiva in this mythological film.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is celebrating his 57th birthday today on September 9. On this occasion, actor Vishnu Manchu shared an interesting poster of Akshay from his upcoming Telugu mythological film Kannappa. He will play the role of Lord Shiva in this film directed by Mukesh Kumar.

Vishnu wished Akshay Kumar a happy birthday by sharing the poster on his official X handle. He wrote, “Happy Birthday to the one and only Mr Akshay Kumar! Best wishes on your special day.”

In the poster, Akshay is seen in the form of Lord Shiva, although his face is hidden. Only his strong arms are visible, which have a Rudraksha rosary on them.

Kannappa is a mythological film that is almost complete. In May, the teaser of the film was screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Later, the teaser was released in India on June 14 and received a positive response.

The film is based on the story of a man named Kannappa, a staunch devotee of Hindu god Shiva. The teaser of Kannappa was action-packed and also featured cameos by Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal and Kajal Aggarwal.

The film has been shot in New Zealand. Produced by Ava Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, the film will have music by Mani Sharma and Stephen Devasi. Kannappa is expected to hit the theatres in December 2024.
