Virender Sehwag praised Kartik Aaryan’s film Chandu Champion
Kartik Aaryan and Kabir Khan released their most awaited film Chandu Champion on June 14. The biopic of Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar has managed to impress both audiences and critics.
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag was also deeply moved by the emotional film that shows how difficult it was for Petkar to win the gold medal. Sharing a review of the film with Cricbuzz, Sehwag said in Hindi, “Maine kal ek picture dekhiye uska naam tha Chandu Champion. Kamaal ki picture hai. Uske dikha gaya ke jo humare Paralympic ke khiladi the, unki kitni mushkil se saath gujjne pade. (I saw a film called Chandu Champion. It is an amazing film. It shows how our Paralympic players struggled.)
On this, actor and host Gaurav Kapoor said that everyone should know this great story of other sports, about the Paralympians. As a public service message, he also asked the audience to watch the film and see the struggle of athletes in different sports.
Karan Johar reviews Kabir Khan’s film Chandu Champion
Filmmaker Karan Johar is among the many B-Town celebs who are impressed with Kartik’s performance in the film. The Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani director called it “solid, honest and supreme” on his Instagram story.
KJo further wrote, “Kabir Khan has directed this courageous and inspiring life story like a love letter to the human spirit.” Praising the lead actor’s performance, he said, “Kartik Aaryan has given the best performance of his career with a humane and honest portrayal” calling it a “must watch” film.
