Food delivery apps have become an integral part of our daily lives. To steer its users towards a healthier lifestyle, Zomato has introduced a new feature. Now, when you order food on the platform, you will be offered a healthier alternative to the same dish. Announcing this update on X (formerly known as Twitter), Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal shared a note. He wrote, “We’ve just launched a new feature on Zomato – gently helping our customers choose healthier options (just in case you’re subconsciously ordering something you might regret later). Initially, we’ve started suggesting roti as an alternative to naan.”
“We are seeing an attachment rate of 7% for these suggestions, and we have received an overwhelmingly positive response to this feature. We plan to add this to other cuisines and categories soon. For example, if you are craving a dessert, we can show you a low-calorie dessert as an option when you add it to your cart,” Deepinder Goyal said. Ending the note, Deepinder Goyal asked users: “What do you think of this feature?”
