Vikas Khanna’s New York City restaurant, Bungalow, is already at the peak of culinary fame. It was recently listed as one of the top 50 restaurants in North America for 2024 by The New York Times. The fine-dining establishment is taking off at a rapid pace, with Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana being the latest to experience its joys. During his recent visit to the city, Ayushmann stayed at a bungalow and enjoyed the delicious cuisine offered by the restaurant. Vikas shared a picture with the actor on Instagram and revealed that Ayushmann had similar dishes to Shahrukh Khan.
He wrote, “I still remember the time when Neena ji was traveling between Delhi and Varanasi. she was shooting ‘Congratulations’ And my film ‘The Last Color’ together. We continuously talked about Ayushmann Khurrana. I have always admired his art and finally, today we met. He’s absolutely the nicest, nicest guy. I served him the same dishes that I had served to Shahrukh. Missed you, @tahirakashyap. Thanks for coming to the bungalow, Ayushmann.” Watch:

Earlier this month, Vikas Khanna had revealed that Shah Rukh Khan had eaten at his restaurant. The chef shared a screengrab of Shah Rukh’s reply to his birthday wish and mentioned that cooking for the star is a bigger honor for him than cooking for any world leader. He wrote in the caption, “I have hosted four US Presidents and almost every major world leader, but cooking for my mother and you at the Bungalow has been the greatest honor of my career and life. You are our family, our brother- She is a sister, she is ours.” Pride, our childhood, our love story, our greatest happiness, and our best representation.”
Vikas Khanna said that Shahrukh Khan’s kind words brought tears to his eyes. “When you were eating at the bungalow and held my hand and said, ‘I have not come just to a restaurant, I have come to respect the place that represents our parents and our culture.’ I cried like a child. I know Radha would be proud. Bless the mother who gave birth to a lion king.”

Bungalow NYC opened its doors to food lovers in March 2024. Over the past few months, the restaurant has become a very popular spot for actors and celebrities. Recently, American producer and actress Sarah Jessica Parker enjoyed a meal at the establishment. Earlier, actors like Aamir Khan, Jenna Fischer and Boman Irani were also seen at the restaurant.
