Hours after speculations were rife on social media that Trisha has unfollowed Vijay on Instagram and stopped wishing him on his 52nd birthday on Monday, she finally shared an emotional picture from the actor-politician’s midnight birthday celebrations.

In the photo, Vijay is seen wearing a printed shirt and is seen smiling at the stack of birthday cakes placed in front of him. Trisha standing next to him looks at him lovingly, both with glowing smiles. Keeping the caption short but enough to cause a stir on the internet, she wrote, “To the person who makes it worth it, HBD 00.00 (sic).”

Did Trisha unfollow Vijay on Instagram?
Rumors of a rift between the two started spreading when several entertainment pages claimed that Trisha had unfollowed Vijay on Instagram. Fans also noticed that she had not posted a birthday wish for him on June 22, further fueling the speculation. However, it was later clarified that Trisha had never followed Vijay on Instagram, rendering the viral ‘unfollow’ claim baseless.
The two have been at the center of online discussion for the past few months, thanks to their frequent public appearances. Trisha had attended Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister in May, while the two were also seen together at producer Kalpana S Aghoram’s family wedding earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Vijay’s personal life continues to be in the headlines. His divorce case with estranged wife Sankageetha Sornalingam came up for hearing in the Chengalpattu women’s court on Monday, where the matter was adjourned till August 7.
The proceedings began in February with a petition filed by Vijay’s wife Sankageetha, in which she accused the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister of having extramarital affairs. The couple had earlier skipped the preliminary hearing following which the court had directed them to appear.
