The twelve-year-old Ayman Nasir al-Hayamouni was shot dead in a back by Israeli forces last Friday and when he was killed by the Israeli forces last Friday, he was visiting a relative in the southern city of Hebron. An international human rights organization said he was one of the 16 Palestinian children who have been targeted by Israeli soldiers at West Bank since the beginning of 2025, “there is no real threat to soldiers by him.”
A CCTV footage has surfaced on social media from the February 21 incident, when Al-Hamouni was killed, shot from Israeli fire. He was rushed to the hospital where he died of injuries.
The murder comes when the Israeli army conducts mass raids overnight in the West Bank for several weeks, including Nablas, Tulram, Genin and Nablas, according to an al-Jazeera report.

Al-Hemouni and his 10-year-old brother, Isar al-Hemouni, along with his mother had gone to meet their grandfather and uncles who lived in Hebron’s Jabal Johar-an area run by Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Jabal Johar is near the tomb of patriarchy, where Abraham and his Bible family are believed to be a site for Muslims, Jews and Christians.
On Friday night, the Jewish settlers come there to pray. Prior to its visits, IDF aggressively patrols the nearby Palestinian districts. According to a report by The Guardian, on Friday night, around 6.30 pm, Al-Hayamouni just run a wrong way for his grandfather’s flat and returned to his uncle Tariq’s house.

On hearing the shots, Al-Hemoon and his two cousins came out of the house of Shri Tariq, along with another uncle, Madem al-Azlauni, who helped a neighbor, whose car was shot by Israeli soldiers a few moments ago. Then there is more ruckus than the street and another shot, with Al-Hemouni and his cousin send small knots for the cover.
The child moves inside the gate of Sri Tariq’s house and is out of the scene of the cameras, when another shot exits the street. This was the bullet that is believed to have been killed by Al-Hemon. The footage does not prove beyond the question of who removed it, but it makes it clear that it came from the direction of Israeli soldiers who were moving at home and who later reached the scene.
Children killed in West Bank
The killing of children on the West Bank is not out of general, especially since the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried forward operations in the occupied area after the Hamas attack of 7 October 2023 and the Gaza war. The strip has increased intensity since the January ceasefire.
According to The Defense for Children International, about 16 Palestinian children have been killed despite “no real threats” so far this year.
Anadolu said, “Failure to make Israeli soldiers accountable for their violations against Palestinians has given them green lights to continue their actions effectively,” said the accountability program director Ayede Abu Vidyish for defense for children said.
In 2024, 93 children were killed by Israeli soldiers. Human rights activists are afraid that the number may continue to increase as the IDF brings the techniques to the West Bank, empties thousands of people from their homes, level the districts and pursues “the rules of engagement”.
