Vettaiyaan review and live updates released: Rajinikanth takes theaters by storm
Superstar Rajinikanth is back and how! After winning gold with director Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer, his upcoming film Vettaiyaan has taken the world by storm. As soon as it released in theaters today, October 10, fans flocked to theaters across the world to watch the early shows of the film. Director TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyaan is considered to be a tough story with commercial elements.
Vettaiyan is special in many ways as it brings together two legends of Indian cinema – Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan – 33 years after their last collaboration, Hum. While Rajinikanth plays the role of an encounter specialist, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen as Satyavan, who advocates against extrajudicial killings.
The action drama highlights extrajudicial killings and the moral dilemmas associated with them. Apart from Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, the film stars Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan and Rakshan in lead roles.
According to trade reports, Vettaiyaan may take an opening of Rs 70 crore on the first day in theatres. If early reviews are anything to go by, Rajinikanth and director TJ Gnanavel have a winner on their hands.
Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the technical crew of Vettaiyaan includes composer Anirudh Ravichander, editor Philomin Raj and cinematographer SR Kathir.
