plot:

Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and his symbiote, Venom (Juno Temple), are accused of the murder of a police officer. They have been hiding for a long time. He believes that moving to New York will solve everything. However, they soon realize that the top executives aren’t the only ones they need to worry about. Knull (Andy Serkis), who created the symbiote, sends a monster to hunt down Eddie and Venom.

Can Eddie and Venom survive the monster attack? Also, will they be able to get the top brass off their shoulders, or will they be found out?

What Works for Venom: The Last Dance

What works for Venom: The Last Dance, like every Venom film, is the camaraderie between Eddie and his symbiote friend Venom. The entire segment where Venom becomes a horse is hilarious and fun. The visual effects are naturally good and the action is good too, although it’s a little more than you want in the end. The final part where Eddie recalls all the happy ‘memories’ with Venom is heartening. That little segment leads to a satisfying ending.

What Doesn’t Work for Venom: The Last Dance

Venom: The Last Dance feels very formulaic. There is lack of continuity in this. The story structure, conflicts, and jokes have all been used in ample quantities in other comic book films. Opponents don’t scare you. There is no innovation. It is just a repetition of what happened in the past; Hopefully this sticks, yet again. The climax of the action takes too long to fully invest in.

Performance in Venom: The Last Dance

Tom Hardy is fun as Eddie Brock. He has put together the film with Juno Temple as Venom. The supporting cast like Peggy Lu, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rhys Ifans don’t have much to work with here. They do their work decently.

Venom’s Final Verdict: The Last Dance

Venom: The Last Dance is a formulaic superhero movie that tries to please its audience with everything they’ve enjoyed about Venom so far. This time it is hit and miss.
